Only real job as a spiked is to hit your Gravitational Collapse on clumps. Q and W should be used as mobility and not for much else, unless needed to push an enemy into your team (but not out of allied damage). Use Jacket of Tenacity to increase your damage and Helmet of Valor to purge enemy defensives on clumps or to cleanse yourself and allies of debuffs/cc.
Grind smarter, not harder.
